I had totally forgotten that you said there's no <em>jump to tab N</em> command keys, so when I discovered this for myself, I felt like they could have left out rendering of text in terminals and it'd do less to make it totally useless. :) I finally poked at Leopard’s Terminal.app — for about half a minute.
