I think the kids are dealing a bit better with it this time around.  One difference is that last time the rat that died had been the &lt;strong&gt;only&lt;/strong&gt; one for 1.5 year, we had &lt;em&gt;just&lt;/em&gt; gotten a second one, which wasn't quite established/settled yet.  This time there were 3 rats that had been with us for over a year, so the remaining two are now getting a bit more affection, to make up for that. :)</description>

		<description>My best friend's sister had a rat once, that was very, very old. I can't remember how old but it was so old it had gone senile. It'd run around in her (the sister's) room, in which they also had a computer. I remember sitting by that thing, and suddenly felt teeth biting into my toe. That rat apparently thought I was food. Scary memory.

Sorry to hear of your loss, though. Losing a pet always sucks. In fact, I'm not over Ronja (my old golden retriever) and she died when I was 13 (i.e. 13 years ago).</description>
