I had no idea who was using it, but I noticed a browser agent in the site stats called ‘SharpReader’ and wondered what that could be. So I searched for it and instantly found it here and noticed that it was created by someone called Luke Hutteman.
Eh, hang on. Luke… that wouldn’t be Lucas, would it? Uh, yes it would, as the whois information of his domain points out. That almost has to be the same guy as the student two years ahead of me in university back in the Netherlands (who also played on IgorMUD) who then went on to move to the US at some point.
Checking further I’m 100% certain it wasn’t actually him that browsed my site but it certainly was amusing to find out that connection of sorts.
Update: It was indeed him, he found the blog entry and responded.

yup - the one and only
Haven’t been on (or even thought about) igorMUD in ages though - I wonder if my old account is still live there…
and you’re correct in stating it wasn’t me who was subscribed to your feed; I just found this link through a feedster search for SharpReader…
Hey there! I was wondering if you would run across my mumblings one way or another. Your wizardly character is still alive and well, even if you haven’t been there for over 6 years. *grin* You’ve got two new in-game mail messages, no idea what about of course or how old, but perhaps drop by some time and read them.
are you telling me that you (and possibly other RuG’ers) are still actively playing IgorMUD after all these years?
I’d head back for old times sake and check those 2 messages, but to be honest I don’t even remember my avatar-name there, let alone my password…
by the way, how did you know I had moved to the states?
There are still a few out there, although admittedly not many.
If I recall correctly I’d used the power of the Google several years ago and spotted you in the US then, possibly even emailed you a ‘hi, how are you.’ That’s all.
