I think these two tourists did not read up on New York sufficiently:

Tourist lady #1: Hey look, there’s the Statue of Liberty!
Tourist lady #2: Then that must be Alcatraz!

–flight into LaGuardia

Why does Playboy mirror Fedora Linux, are they trying to get removed from the various NetNanny filters by doing this? 😉 (Read on Digg.)

You read about this happening (Guardian Unlimited) from time to time. Often enough that you would think jury members are warned not do this. Or are they, and do they stubbornly ignore it?

Prosecutors have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a case in which a convicted murderer’s death sentence was overturned because jurors went beyond the evidence and consulted a Bible during deliberations.

I knew things have been getting out of hand, but this seems a bit over the top (CNet):

Tucker, an Internet industry executive who holds a doctoral degree in computer science, decided that rather than take the time to remove the offending software, he would spend $400 on a new machine.

And the new machine will, if nothing else changes, be infected within days, if not hours. Plus, if that’s what you’re going to do, why not just reinstall the OS? Even hiring someone to do that should cost less than hiring someone to clean up your PC.

That’s all for now.
