Thank you for this chuckle, New York:
Hipster chick: You know, they have all these sodas with added lime flavor, but why don’t they ever do Sprite with lime?

Hey you! Yeah you, driving in your car with a phone glued to your ear, put it down or pull over! Even if you’re using a headset to reduce the distracting effects you can’t possibly tell me that you can concentrate 100% on traffic all around you if you’re also actually listening (and responding) to whoever is on the other side of the line.
As this article (Wired) says: Talk or Drive. Don’t do Both.
“You’d think using a hands-free phone would be less distracting, so it wouldn’t increase crash risk as much as using a hand-held phone. But we found that either phone type increased the risk,” said Anne McCartt, one of the study’s authors and the institute’s vice president for research.
Declan McCullagh gives a heads-up (Politech) that there’s a vote on today to take the expiration date out of the Patriot Act:
“The concern is not that the Patriot Act powers will be used against the terrorists; it is that the powers will start to be used in other areas of law enforcement. Prudence dictates that a check be retained on the Patriot Act powers to ensure constant review of their application,” Lilienthal said.
That’s all for now.
