That would explain this then:

1. Our waterheater started leaking, which we discovered this morning. It’s being replaced this afternoon.
2. I twisted my ankle while carrying some stuff down the steps and forgetting about the last one. Ouch. Thankfully it was my left one, and I could walk on it again after a minute or two of letting the initial pain fade away, so I could drive M to work, but still ouch.
3. The father of the Dutch Queen Beatrix, Prince Bernhard, died this evening (Dutch time).

Hrmpf.

If you’ve followed Ken Jennings’ Jeopardy adventure, you’ll know no doubt that it has finally ended, although the actual episode was recorded back in September already. I saw him once or twice at the end of June when visiting M’s dad, but have only kept track through the internet since. What amused me is that the last question he got wrong was related to H&R Block, and now I read here:

He’s in a new tax bracket now, and H&R Block is making sure he’ll always remember the company for other reasons: It has offered him free tax preparation for life.

That’s one way to get some cheap publicity, for sure!
