Moving the blog from an internal site to a publicly visible URL and, considering it’s behind an elaborate network of redirects, it’s a small miracle if it all works.
Update:
Moved it again, now the only odd bit is that it is at a non-standard port-number but the blog software should no longer have an identity crisis. Two steps forward, one step back…
Being a programmer I tend to prefer writing things myself. Being practical, I know that there is software out there, written, debugged and polished, that I simply don’t have the time for to create something even remotely similar. So today I ran across WordPress and decided to give it a go. An afternoon of fighting with CSS and it’s starting to look like something I could almost live with. Time to go live? Not sure, but it’s getting close.
